It's ok to be naive sometimes about issues impacting Veterans and their families. I won't hold it against you.
A lot of stuff I didn't know about until I was hospitalized and lapsed into a coma in France that the doctors did not know about my medical history. The same problem existed when I was medivac back to Québec, Canada.
The Doctors had to rely on information from my family (e.g. medical allergies to medicine) after my heart stopped twice while in the coma because I was given antibiotics I was allergic to.
Today, that will not happen to other veterans residing in Canada because the hospitals here in Canada now have access to the medical records of Veterans of the U.S. military who are now living here in Canada as ex-pats.
Bravo to the Biden/Harris administration for getting that fixed...it can and will save the life of a Veteran.
