osaka nikkei 225 mini

>Schaefer

We spoke a few months ago when you were
considering trading the Nikkei225 Mini. It looks
as though you began. How do you find it?

I don't know if you've heard or if you are interested,
but in May the TSE will list the Topix Mini. This month
the TSE started using their new computer system
for futures. Big improvement. They claim a 40ms
execution.

Hi Learner,

I'm glad you'd remembered. Yes, I have switched over to HK server, and started trading the N225M, since October of last year.

I'm still a bit frustrated with the N225M, since my strategies on the eminis are based mainly on NQ, YM and Euro. The price action on the Nikkei is very different from the US eminis. I'm still trying to adapt, and improvise, but I still have ways to go.

Thanks for the info on the Mini Topix, but being a US resident, I'm not sure, if it's on the authorized list for us to trade.

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a few questions about what I'm doing wrong, and may be critique my system. We could probably do it via PM, or email :)

Regards,
Schaefer

Hi,
I think I can understand your frustration from an opposite
standpoint. That being that I do not trade US Minis but when
I follow the price movement I see ES as being much easier
to trade than the Nikkei Mini. This may be due to the smoother
movement resulting from greater volume.

Yes, please feel free to PM me and I will do what I can.
However, I doubt that I can be of much help if you are using
indicators in your system as I have been at this since before
all of these indicators were born.

Schaefer,

Have a look at STW and maybe KOSPI (you could effectively mini-trade it using the DOTM options market). They are more freely ranging markets than nk.

Hi Kiwi,

Thank you for your advice. The STW is out of the question, as it is not on IB's authorized list for US residents. The same with Hang Seng Mini also.

I'm going to have to do some research on KOSPI.
