Optiver

Hey ppl,

I am a final year Engineering student and I have passed all the Optiver tests so far. The thing is I have the interview tomorrow an not alot of technical knowledge. For those with experience, I was wondering what level of technical knowledge is required for this interview. (Especially in the Australian office)

Depends on what you have claimed you know on your CV. If you say you know options, they'll probably ask you about options.
 
Hey,

In my cover letter n resume I have not mentioned that I have any marketing knowledge whatsoever, but that I'm great with numbers n my experiences in Engineering.
So should I assume that they won't ask any of those sort of questions?? I have read a little bit of Hull and know some basics - options, futures, greeks (not in depth though).

Hy guys,
I sent an e-mail to Optiver staff and they responded to me saying that, due to the fact that I live in Eastern Europe, I will have to take an online test in order to proceed to the next steps of the recruitment process( i guess that if i'll pass, I will have to go to Amsterdam) .
Had anyone taken this kind of test before?
How is it going to be conducted( they will give me a link or something)?
And it is the 8 minutes- 8 questions test?

Working at Optiver/ Jane Street/ Tibra is clearly my dream career.

Do these firms recruit at Canadian universities? I'll be attending the University of Toronto this fall, plausibly pursuing a B.Sc. (joint-hons) in Economics & Mathematics, or a B.Sc. (hons) in Actuarial Science.
 
Anyone having the testmeeting in London next week? I am worrying I couldn't pass the test by just start to practice from today ... and anyone has a clue of how's it like for the 2nd and 3rd tests?
 
just did the 8 minute test online. Got to 65 or 66 (wasn't paying much attention to the clock), maybe 1 or 2 wrong. Let's see if they contact me again...
 
So I apparently had 61 and received an email to have a 30 minutes motivational interview via phone.

Any idea what that might be about?
