- upper body weight exercise
- jogging (replace with high-rise building stair climbing if I am going for
mountain trekking).

I must confess I really hate stair climbing;
It is very torturous; better to be dead than alive.
But then, it is a compulsory thing to do before mountain trekking.
Okay, it's great to be active, but you can't possibly be doing resistance work very intensely if you're doing it up to 3 times a day.

Stair climbing is excellent exercise. :thumbsup:
 
No surprise about Oprah. I remember my mom would watch her show and whenever Oprah lost weight she would gain most of it back, it was an iterative effort for her. With these GLP1 drugs its just a matter of tolerating the side effects and you will do okay (well you do need take more Protein than before).
 
A note about eating out especially here in the US. The portion sizes are enormous. I remember one of my British friends told me the amount of food you get in the US compared to the UK or Europe was like 2:1.
 
Every calorie count... For a fit person without particular conditions.

Choose extra virgin olive oil instead of butter. Make your own junk food if you really crave some. Avoid ready meals like the plague. Avoid all alternative vegan cr*p, fancy vegan? Have some veggie... oat/almond/soya/coconut milk, vegan sausages/bacon, margerine.. are mostly toxic and full of cheap oils and sugar.

Animal fat might taste good but it's nasty.
In the USA, standard portions are massive. Metabolism then adjust to average calories intake and one feels like having to keep up or starve.

Some diets are mental. If one is healthy, reducing calories and preparing food from raw produce works wonder.
Balanced diets are the best.

Walking miles per day and doing simple house chores are great and simple calorie burners.
Less is more.

Dave Ramsey Radio[not Dave but his sidekick] accidently told a caller once;
you live 9 miles from work you can walk that, dont buy a new car .LOL:D:D
ONLY if walking 3mph x3hours [9 miles ] suits you every morning LOL.
Bar-B -Q chicken, or grass fed beef or venison;
most fat burns off.
Salmon, sardines, tuna in soy oil, are great; even though the WMT cashier said ''you like that stinkin' sardines stuff ??''
Eggs+ country eggs if possible , are a good health food;
even if cereal companies spoofed-scamed so many on that.
If you are sensitive , you may notice, you could eat MCD or hamburgers 75% beef-25% fat\ as teen, but @ >33.3 years, its like a car cranking @ severe subzero temp=too slow go :caution::caution:
 
Why so difficult to lose weight?
It is not a rocket science question.

The solution is no brainer.
Just cut down on food intake!
And don't take drugs!

simplified explanation:
If you eat/drink 2kg / day,
the maximum weight you can gain is only 2kg.

If you eat/drink 0.5kg/day,
the max weight you can gain is only 0.5kg etc

To shorten one's life, eat more food and drugs.
Unfortunately, sumo wrestlers have short lifespans.

Exactly;
that's why sumo wrestlers eat plenty of fat to get fat+ 2 Big Macs late .
Dr R Cherry said they eat those Big Macs late;
that helped gain weight also .
Jogging on hard pavement or concrete maybe too hard on feet;
I enjoy walking+ hunting + target shooting. Hog hunting is big in TX.
Hogs eat anything even shotgun shells LOL:D:D

Do remember food and humans contain tons and tons of water.

If a person eats hamburgers every day, soon, he will be heavier than an
adult hippo/rhino/buffalo.


In the above computation, I made my judgment.
So it needs some fine-tuning.
But it gives some idea some food has excellent storage capacity/capability.
and some food has horrific storage capacity/capability.

I have never seen those calculations before. How did you determine them?

Burger meat has like 25-30percent protein. Butter has nothing but fat.

Please tell me that you didn’t just make up those numbers. Proper engineers wouldn’t do that.
