WW is down 25% after Oprah's disclosure that she was using a weight loss drug instead of just dieting:

"Oprah Winfrey will leave the board of WeightWatchers after almost 10 years, following the entertainment mogul’s revelation that she is using a weight-loss drug.

Winfrey informed the company this week that she decided to not stand for reelection at the annual meeting of shareholders to be held in May 2024. She has served on the company’s board since 2015 when she acquired a 10% stake in WeightWatchers.

Winfrey owns about 1.1 million shares of WW International, representing a 1.43% stake in the company, according to data provider FactSet. At the current stock price, that’s worth less than $3.5 million. Her initial investment for 6.4 million shares of the company totaled $43.2 million.

Winfrey’s agreement with WeightWatchers specifies that she “will not engage in any other weight loss or weight management business, program, products or services” during the term of her relationship with the company and for one year afterward, according to the company’s filings with the SEC.

After the disclosure that Winfrey will leave WeightWatchers’ board, shares of WW International fell more than 20% Friday. With her departure, the company’s board will be reduced from 10 members to nine."
 
Why so difficult to lose weight?
It is not a rocket science question.

The solution is no brainer.
Just cut down on food intake!
And don't take drugs!

simplified explanation:
If you eat/drink 2kg / day,
the maximum weight you can gain is only 2kg.

If you eat/drink 0.5kg/day,
the max weight you can gain is only 0.5kg etc

To shorten one's life, eat more food and drugs.
Unfortunately, sumo wrestlers have short lifespans.

hormones and other life factors can make it very difficult especially as you get to middle age.

In America, it's hard to live a normal life and not consume calories. And sendentary lifestyle changes body composition. My factory workers are all lean. My office staff, a lot less lean.

I log my diet furiously and i can't go to a restaurant without eating 1000 calories (and I basically don't drink). A small burger and small fries at shakeshack is almost 1000 calories.

Those high-calorie unhealthy foods will destroy our bodies.

As a day trader, I have lots of free time.
I exercise 2 or 3 times a day (not a week).
I make tons of probiotic food.
Luckily I have reached a stage where I don't enjoy eating UPF and sweet things.

I run a business and I trade. When I work from home my life is a lot healthier than when I go to the office.

How old are you? I can’t workout more than 5x week without getting brain fogged. When I was 26 I could do two a days.
 
Every calorie count... For a fit person without particular conditions.

Choose extra virgin olive oil instead of butter. Make your own junk food if you really crave some. Avoid ready meals like the plague. Avoid all alternative vegan crap, fancy vegan? Have some veggie... oat/almond/soya/coconut milk, vegan sausages/bacon, margerine.. are mostly toxic and full of cheap oils and sugar.

Animal fat might taste good but it's nasty.

In the USA, standard portions are massive. Metabolism then adjust to average calories intake and one feels like having to keep up or starve.

Some diets are mental. If one is healthy, reducing calories and preparing food from raw produce works wonder.
Balanced diets are the best.

Walking miles per day and doing simple house chores are great and simple calorie burners.

Less is more.

- upper body weight exercise
- jogging (replace with high-rise building stair climbing if I am going for
mountain trekking).

I must confess I really hate stair climbing;
It is very torturous; better to be dead than alive.
But then, it is a compulsory thing to do before mountain trekking.
