One In 14 Americans Has Lost A Friend Over This Presidential Election

It is sad that people become so vested in the beliefs of one side or the other that they would turn away from someone otherwise considered a friend.

Especially considering that our political structure thrives on the strife that it creates.

I don't know a thing about ITT, but certainly one of the finest moments of the Obama administration was when his appointees decided to come down on for profit "universities" and "institutes" whose only purpose was to milk federal tuition subsidies and us taxpayers. They had little concern for the poor suckers they were lying to."

Its true. My friend used to complain to me how his students were running up debt to earn a relatively dubious degree and then enter a non-existent job market. I don't support Obama on most stuff but there is something to this. If the "university" has to close its doors instantly when federal funding is cut then it is clear that its whole business plan was that federal funding with no regard for the students.

I would also mention that most well-known companies have policies precluding hiring "graduates" of these for-profit universities. These are not viewed as real degrees and resumes with these "universities" (including ITT) on them are dropped straight in the trash.

That shows that Americans can be divided easily.
Politics should be just an opportunity to find out facts, what one does not know. This might just reveal that whatever "friendship" people thought was there, was something else than true friendship. May be it was just acquaintance, may be it was self-interest?

On the plus side, you now know how your friends feel about you.

Most of my friends do not feel that way. They do feel that your crowd are unpatriotic traitors who should be put in penal camps though.

I have two or three friends or relatives who are diehard liberal democrats and with whom it is possible to have a reasonable discussion. I have kind of a non aggression pact with the others. I know exactly how they feel about me, and they know I don't give a crap and think they are naïve morons or worse.

Lost "A" friend?

I lost a whole bunch of them when Odumbo got elected. I basically declared all Odumbo supporters, including family, "persona non grata".... and told them so.

Supporters of Obama, Hellary and the Progressive agenda = Hatred of and enemy of all America was intended to be and once was. It's not like, "my Seattle Supersonics beat your Denver Nuggets... you should get over it".

The other side has supported the destruction of America... and I'm not going to "get over it".

:(
You're exactly right.

Obama put another 1.4 Trillion on the debt. We're at 105% Debt-to-GDP now. Most everyone here are a bunch of dummies who have no clue what that means. It's fucked man. Blind leading the blind. But we also got over half the country who want to reverse course. All stops have been pulled out to Stop Trump. That's how powerful WE are.

My mom nearly had a fit when I told her I support Trump.

A friend of mine has always voted democrat and we've always fought over it. I told him he would regret voting for Barrack Obama.

He was a professor at ITT Tech and lost his job a couple of weeks ago when Obama killed ITT.

That vote didn't work out too well for him I guess. I didn't have to say a word either. I could see the look on his face. He is muttering about voting for Trump now, lol.

That was a good thing.ITT Tech was a bigger rip off than Trump University.

The way I see it.... they have declared themselves enemy of my country and our way of life. (Not to mention the fact that they endorse my paying higher taxes to support their wants) I take that personally. I'm angry and disgusted by them... it's not that I want to line them up against the execution wall... but if they all loaded themselves onto the next boat for Venezuela, I wouldn't mind.

If you don't stand for something, then you stand for nothing!
