One In 14 Americans Has Lost A Friend Over This Presidential Election

The point is that you don't know your history. The clue is you better go read up.
The point is you wouldn't understand irony (and Ann's hypocrisy) even if Dr. Seuss had written a pop-up book about it just for you.

The way I see it.... they have declared themselves enemy of my country and our way of life. (Not to mention the fact that they endorse my paying higher taxes to support their wants) I take that personally. I'm angry and disgusted by them... it's not that I want to line them up against the execution wall... but if they all loaded themselves onto the next boat for Venezuela, I wouldn't mind.

If you don't stand for something, then you stand for nothing!

This is exactly why there is so much hatred. My close friends are about 90% republicans and 10% democrats. But we are still friends no matter what, and can have rational discussions to express our views.

I personally would never loose a friend or family member on the fact that his political view is different from mine.

Scataphagos you seem to have extreme feelings and no tolerance for dissent, and this obviously works for you, but as someone wisely said "The Truth is Born in Argument".

Here you go, SquareBob FudgePants:

Most of my friends do not feel that way. They do feel that your crowd are unpatriotic traitors who should be put in penal camps though.

It's called free speech. It goes along with freedom of religion and freedom of the press. We value it. You clearly don't.

The marketplace of ideas can be messy at times. It can be unruly and even hurtful. Your solution, to allow only approved speech and ideas, is worse.
