Do tell us more of your “well regulated Militia.”I don't regard myself as a scofflaw. The constitution is very clear.... "shall not be infringed".

I do agree on open carry, side arm no big deal, AR-15 over the shoulder... that’s stupid I agree but I really don't think it will be an issue after the euphoria is gone. Moved from the metro to rural years ago. Tis nothing to see someone with a side arm or hunting rifle in public.
What I do like is removing the right to carry from bureaucrats. It will be much harder to restrict now. Criminals will always have guns, it’s the rights of law abiding citizens that need protection.
Other states have this and it doesn’t seem to be a problem.
Meh, I just carry. Period. I was strapped in Chicago most of the time. I deposited my piece in a locker across the street from work on the way in and collected it on the way out. Simple.

Yeah, I witnessed a bank robbery when I was 15, dude ran out right past me and spoke to me. He shot a teller in the head about 10 seconds before I encountered him. My mom said the FBI came to the door wanting to interview me but I was not at home. For your self defense? What you do when someone pulls a gun on you? Magically stop time and pull yours? Or you can now play hero when you see a nearby bank robbery in progress? Lol
The framers of the constitution were quite clear that the word militia meant the whole of the civilian population. I think he was referencing the "well regulated" part of the amendment though. I would encourage you to get a concealed carry licence if you're going to carry. It's a small price to pay to ensure that this constitutional right won't be taken away from you in the future. Its not about militias. Its just insurance that means I have something to say about what transpires around me in about a 40-ft radius.
Ride the L for a few months and then tell me all about gun control.

"I ask who are the militia? They consist now of the whole people, except a few public officers."
- George Mason
"The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. A well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the best and most natural defense of a free country."
- James Madison
“A militia when properly formed are in fact the people themselves…and include, according to the past and general usuage of the states, all men capable of bearing arms… "To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them."
- Richard Henry Lee

I love all these wannabe Constitutional lawyers. The Supreme Court, both liberal and conservative judges have decided over 125 years of SC precedent that the Bill of Rights are not absolute rights and they can be regulated and modified by the government.
So to say the government has no right at all to set limits or regulations whatsoever is just wrong and you look ignorant.
