If you are so gullible you give a panhandler money you deserve to be screwed.
I make a monthly donation to the wounded warriors project. That's why I never give anything to beggars anymore. I don't even give money to charities outside of St. Jude's, and that's only once a year. I used to give a lot more, but I no longer care. Obama will save everyone, so I don't have to.

That's pretty much it. I'm sick of supporting free loader "poor" people. They can fucking die for all I care.
So tell me. There are other similar organizations if I need to switch.I used to donate to that, too, until some SOF vets told me where the money went.

I think I saw this already and I did have some reservations because of it. I may look again at finding a higher rated charity. In my view charity workers shouldn't be making 6 figure salaries if they're really devoted to the charity work itself....Edit, an independent rating at Charity Navigator shows 57.9% of the dollars going to "the program" - which is quite a bit less than the charity itself claims.

But they do have a good rating.
Steve Nardizzi, the CEO, made $311,000 last year.

My last employer all but coerced salaried employees to donate to United Way. I stopped when CEO was caught riding around in a limo. There is not a reason in the world for a charity executive to make that kind of money.I'm with you. I've even begun to question St. Jude's recently because it's gotten way worse in the administration charges. Our company does a big United Way pledge, but I have an issue as the CEO of united Way makes over $1 Million in his salary.
