Odumbo/Dictator WARNS, 'unelected' Supreme Court against striking down health law'

Quote from Mav88:

big effing deal, it is symbolic

Typical racist response to a minorities achievements.I remember how you went on and on about how the Tuskegee Airmen didn't deserve their praise and only got it because they were black.

I guess the grades Obama needed to graduate magna cum laude from Harvard Law was given to him because he was black as well

man you are easily impressed

Considering 4 of the current Supreme Court Justices were only editors and Obama was editor his first year and President his second I am impressed

I proved that the Tuskegee airmen's achievements were overblown by examining the record, I never said they should not be praised, I in fact praised them. Their aerial record was overhyped because they were black, sorry but that is well understood now.

He earned his grades- but magna cum laude, that's all that needed for the 'prestige' of the president of the Harvard Law review? LOL, there is your proof he got it for being black

I am not because my name is on the front of several SPIE volumes as the chief editor. That's the difference between me and you, I know what it means.

Here’s how editors are chosen for the Harvard Law Review. Fourteen editors (two from each 1L section) are selected based on a combination of their first-year grades and their competition scores. Twenty editors are selected based solely on their competition scores. The remaining editors are selected on a discretionary basis. Some of these discretionary slots may be used to implement the Review’s affirmative action policy.

According to the NYT, here’s how BO was chosen to head the Review.

Mr. Obama was elected after a meeting of the review’s 80 editors that convened Sunday and lasted until early this morning, a participant said.

Until the 1970’s the editors were picked on the basis of grades, and the president of the Law Review was the student with the highest academic rank. Among these were Elliot L. Richardson, the former Attorney General, and Irwin Griswold, a dean of the Harvard Law School and Solicitor General under Presidents Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard M. Nixon.

That system came under attack in the 1970’s and was replaced by a program in which about half the editors are chosen for their grades and the other half are chosen by fellow students after a special writing competition. The new system, disputed when it began, was meant to help insure that minority students became editors of The Law Review.

The first female editor of the Harvard Law Review was Susan Estrich, in 1977.

I know what it means as well ,its the highest student position at Harvard Law

The Harvard Law Review, generally considered the most prestigious in the country, elected the first black president in its 104-year history today. The job is considered the highest student position at Harvard Law School.

So Obama was selected editor 1st then President by 80 editors because he was black ? LOL !!!

Graduating Magna Cum Luade proves he had good grades but I guess that had nothing to do with it

can you read? honestly, can you? your statement indicates a real reading comprehension problem

Highest student position?- big effing deal, I can't even remember my undergrad or graduate student president, I can't remember my honor society president. I'm glad I don't make an issue of it because that would be small minded, as would being impressed by magna cum laude for someone held up as intellectual.

so obama being president of the harvard law review is another example of just how ass backwards and racist affirmative action is.. aa IS the practice of creating inequality. People who are less capable or not capable at all, are replacing people who are better suited just because of their race or sex etc. That is stupid and unfair by any objective measure.

His comments yesterday and today really are beyond arrogant, he thinks whatever he says is above criticism, even when he straight up lies. He was emboldened by getting obamacare passed despite the large amount of resistance, and he is finished if it gets rejected. If he was such a scholar and not such an egomaniac, he would realize this. But he acts like a little baby when he doesn't get his way and it is probably because everything in life was handed to him because he is a pc posterchild... fuck him.
