Actually its not called the 'scientific process', its called the 'scientific method'. The global warming hoaxsters do not practice the scientific method. For instance, the global warming hoaxsters were caught red-handed concealing data and other findings. That behavior is in direct contrast to the scientific method.
In addition, the scientific method encourages scientists and other researchers to be skeptical of hypotheses that are formulated by other scientists. Of course if you are skeptical of a global warming hoaxster you get attacked and called all kind of nasty names. Some hoaxsters actually think skeptics ought to be put on trial and thrown in prison. Not too scientific at all.
Also, the scientific method does not equate 'consensus' with scientific fact. It actually does the complete opposite. Don't tell that to the average global warming hoaxster.
