That dock's in Port Romney. : )Quote from wjk:
A fix for the 2014 dem chances, if you ask me. Every single one of them voted for this shit, including the ones who are now flip flopping. There's so much flip flopping going on, it's like a giant net full of fish just got dumped on the dock.
Aren't these the same State insurance commissioners who oversaw the Insurance industry within their State?Quote from PiggyBank:
But he did say something about allowing State insurance commissioners to decide if individual policies can stay.

. The gov. has business doing this just like the gov has business requiring auto ins. Just watched Obama on TV, first political speech or talk I've listened to in a couple of months,

Piggy it was always up to the insurance companies to sell and cancel policies and how to price them not the presidents. It was stupid for Obama to make that promise or he was just flat out lying, you would think someone would of told him they can't stop the insurance companies from canceling policies or raising prices on non compliant policies. He could not of enforced the promise even if law was written differently.

Kinda', but not totally. The new fix is really a let's shift the blame to an easy target...insurance companies. Everyone hates insurance companies. However, insurance companies do have to obey the law, the law which Obama and crew wrote and mandated.
You run a roofing company right? Lets say I contract you for a job. It's a smaller job, and I don't want to pay much for the shingles you're going to use. You show me the cheapest on the market. They meet the standards, but just barely. I agree to use the cheap ones cause they fit my personal need. All is well. Next day Obama decides those cheap shingles don't cut it anymore. It's illegal to use them from now on. I still need the job done, but now you tell me I have to use different, much more expensive shingles. My cost for this job goes way up. Now I'm pissed. Should I be pissed at you? You're just doing what the government mandates. Are you a shady contractor just trying to rip me off? Contractors can have a bad rep too just like insurance companies, but obeying the law, however stupid, isn't your fault, and it damn sure isn't the fault of the consumer. Lets lay the blame squarely where it belongs. Right at the feet of this administration.

Are there not already some types of shingles that are illegal to use? Or maybe it's just that you can't get fire insurance if you use them...Quote from OccupyThis:
Great analogy.
