Obama goes after Staples for threatening to fire employees who work more than 25 hours

That's right, brother Maxie.
The truth is that the government has no right to know how much money you make or how much money you have.
There should be no tax on what a person earns; only a tax on what he spends.

I checked that link, sounds simple enough. It could pass I suppose, 23%? oh man, that's another dollar a pack for me

Thing is, I think 23% is too high, but the general concept is fantastic.
Also, the FairTax people have devised it such that poor folks don't pay any taxes.
That ain't right, either.
Every citizen should have skin in the game.

But again, the general concept of one tax to cover all our current taxes is great and would force transparency in government spending.

NO MORE FILING A RETURN EVERY YEAR, EITHER!!!

no man, I am all for simplicity, but it's the old two wrongs make a right. Just because the current tax system is messed up is no reason to replace it with a consumption tax. The only fair tax is an income tax, and it is now 21st century and they have invented the computer.

2 wrongs make a right=most income tax evasion is a result of the drug trade. Illegal drugs is a wrong, why not just add a consumption tax and two wrongs will make it right.

If I make money I am willing to pay taxes. If I make no money in 2015 I shouldn't have to pay one penny of taxes. So as a trader, I could lose money in 2015 and still pay 23% on everything I purchase (and those are things I need like pot, cigarettes and beer!)

Just lay off of me, I have some very good years, and 2015 may be one of them, and I will pay you all the taxes I owe.
