It is a valid birth certificate, with seal. In fact, the Hawaii Department of Health has confirmed that it is a real birth certificate. If you're not sure, you can contact them. Ask for Janice Okubo.

To settle the issue, he needs to produce the vault version.

Nobody's saying that it's not a valid document.

The problem is, it relies on the info given by Obama's mother, and does not prove that he was born in Hawaii. ( I'm sure you read the other post about HOW these are given out ) It's like someone giving testimony that is contradictory to facts. If the records show that he was in fact born in Hawaii, then fine. End of story. There's no reason to NOT produce the correct documents.

This whole issue goes to whether or not the terms of the Constitution should be followed, or not. I'm QUITE sure that everyone would like to avoid any Supreme Court involvement in a Presidential election again, right?

It's a slippery slope argument..... if he's proven to be a naturalized citizen, and the SC says it's NOW ok, then it opens the door to a whole lot of exceptions in the future.

Or would the Governator then be eligible? LOLZ.....

So when Obama and his media henchmen sue to gain private information on opponents to smear them and get other opponents stricken from the ballot on technicalities, it's not desperate or dishonest. It's only desperate and dishonest when republicans do it. I see your point. :p

Okay, so a birth certificate is not a correct document, because it's a "certification of birth" which isn't a birth certificate even though the State of Hawaii says it is. And the REAL birth certificate is being hidden in a vault and Obama's filing many lawsuits to block its release (even though there are no filings that blocked any release) and anyway the birth certificate which isn't a birth certificate could have been amended even though the state of Hawaii says that it's a 'real birth certificate' and amendments are shown on birth certificates by putting a line through the amended portion, signed and then having 'ALTERED' written on it, but it could be amended anyway but anyway birth certificates are given out to people who aren't born in a place because the government doesn't keep track of births/hospitals/children.

So McCain's birth certificate which states that he was born OUTSIDE the Panama Canal zone would be such a huge problem that it would have to go to the Supreme Court, although the Senate already passed a non-binding resolution stating that the sense of the Senate is that McCain is eligible -- but the Supreme Court would overrule that and anyway they couldn't pass a resolution like that for Obama.

So, the State of Hawaii said that Obama's BC is absolutely legit. Is the next thing from the kooks a claim that Obama has paid off an entire State government?
