Oanda - Add Your SCAM SCREENS Here

Quote from JDL:

i never had a spike or a platform freeze or had my broker refund funds to me because of there crazy spikes and i never had to worry about my platform shutting down during news release, i will take a ECN broker over any bucket shop any day, you pay for what you get. im not gonna argue with you i know what i get and love it. i don't have to go thru that bullshit oanda put you thru.

Is that it, is that your sales pitch? Yeah, right, lol

It's not really any surprise that you can't support your opinion with reason and logic, thanks but I think I'll stay where I am for now.

So, we're both happy with our respective brokers, that's excellent!

Trading with a bucket shop can cause a heart attack, trading with a ECN broker priceless. :D

for me, guy, it looks like Youre a kid in a fantasy world.... dreaming to be Jessy Livermore :D

dream on, dream on... dream on :)

EDIT:

LOL almost egzactly the same statement as Cable :D

totally parallel and independent opinions

:D

I'm only going by what the President/CEO stated on a public forum, I would imagine there could be some serious repercussions if he were lying, aside from which why would he lie anyway?

The thing is neither of us know for sure but the probability is that Stumm is correct seeing as he runs the shop!

Quite obviously Oanda have some attraction for those size players otherwise they wouldn't have those size of accounts.

Oanda makes clear that there is no insurance on any deposit and than in the case of the default, traders would fall under the category of general creditor.

8 figures under those circumstances? Give me a break!

lol, I'm not the one who said it, take it up with Stumm if it bothers you!

I don't know if they exist in Canada but they do in Europe, have you never heard of bank guarantees?

seems incredible for me either, just think of liquidity issues... if they put it all into interbank market anyway, what is the point of keeping it at oanda, who has only 500M of insurance in their own capital??? (lol, maybe thath 8fig account is THEIR OWN :D )

with such money You make fewer trades and spread ceases to be important as the orders await for the other side on the line between banks... i guess

forget leveraging! with such capital you just hope of beeing filled

Ok, big time error tonight.

I have two accounts with Oanda. Let's just call them account A and account B.

Had sell orders in XAU/USD stacked down from 915 to 880 in account B. I logged on after dinner to find that the gold spike down executed two of those orders in account A. This would normally not bother me except that I had a buy order in Account A that had been executed earlier today and the sell orders closed that order for a significant loss.

I put in a complaint and their technical team is working on it. I'll let you know what happens.
