NYT: FBI raids Trump lawyer's office

The legal battle has spurred Cohen and Trump to make public statements that are “quite incriminating,”said David Super, a Georgetown University law professor.
Among them: Trump's comments to reporters last week, denying knowledge of the Daniels payment or the source of the hush money. "You'll have to ask Michael Cohen" why the payment was made, the president told reporters on Air Force One.
If Cohen acted on his own to pay Daniels, Super said, "then there's no attorney-client privilege, which may have made (the FBI) more comfortable doing this raid."
Trump's statements "have exacerbated his problems severely," Super added. "If he had taken the usual lawyers' advice to clients and referred all questions to the lawyers and declined comment, I don't think we would have seen this raid and I don't think this lawsuit would be any big deal."

This really isnt newsworthy to anyone who understands the law in the slightest, the bottom line saying nothing is better than saying just about anything, there is a reason they tell you anything you say CAN AND WILL BE USED AGAINST YOU in the court of law.......... Like the cops dont suddenly change their mind when you act indignant...... bottom line Trump must be his attorneys worst nightmare, cause hes intentionally maligning the very people who want to see his ass thrown in jail, probably the worst strategy of all time......... unless Hes innocent of everything and he doesnt give a fuck.
Ive been the victim of a tax audit before, and while everything in my body wanted to tell them what horrible pieces of shit they were, i knew that there was no positive that was going to come out of that, so i just grinned and beared it, while i secretly wished for the worst for them and everyone associated with them.
Mueller has nothing. If he did, Trump would have already been indicted. Isn't that obvious? I think its not obvious as it should be to most people.....Imagine for a moment Robert Mueller the Third had video of POTUS accepting a briefcase full of rubles from Validmir himself upstairs Motel 6. Do you honestly think you or me, or anyone else for that matter, would be having this convo right now? No. Because then we would have actual proof. Therefore, there would be no need for baseless speculation and conjecture, which is all were doing now. Which is what all Bobb has produced.......
The arrest of Cohen is major overreach. Muellers political bias in this case is unequivocal. If it wasn't before (had to close both eyes not to see), it sure is now !!!! Except for hardcore left wing nutjobs who are totally divorced from reality, Americans see through this increasingly political fishing expedition for what it is.

Real life isn’t the movies where the president goes into a parking garage with a trench coat to meet Putin directly. In real life it’s done through back channels and code words.
Mueller is being thorough to find these back channels without publicly hurling unfounded accusations.
It’s hard to understand when your hero can accuse a former president of illegal wiretapping with no evidence.
