I am sure that a ban on guns will work just as well as the prohibition of cocaine. Cocaine has been illegal in the US since the early 1900s. Since then, there hasn't been a ounce of cocaine in the country because obviously it is illegal.

Or will a ban on guns work as well as the prohibition of heroin. Heroin was outlawed in 1970. Since the United States government outlawed heroin, it is virtually impossible to find in the United States. Oh....wait. That is not correct.
There was a prohibition of alcohol in the United States from 1920 - 1933. Obviously, during that period of time, there was no alcohol in the United States. Oh...wait..that is not correct.
