More and more everyday. I was told right here on the forum that because it is next to impossible to repeal the second amendment that we can’t stop all of the guns and gun violence and just have to live with it though.
There are statistics that show
LESS than 10% of mass shootings occur by individuals considered to be mentally unstable
or under psychological/psychiatric care.
- Vast majority of mass shootings and mass murder are committed by people without mental illness, and certainly not psychotic illness
Thus, all other mass shooters were normal Americans until they snapped sort'uv speak and then when a loved one or friend noticed something wasn't normal...it was too late or they didn't have the resources to legally take their weapons away.
I've seen people snap for reasons like nasty divorce, the death of a child, mounting financial debt/medical debt, loss of home or about to lose their home due to foreclosure, termination from their job, bullying (they are the bully or they bullied others), history of domestic violence, social media problems et cetera...
Luckily they didn't have access to a gun or assault weapon and they have a loved one/friend that would intervene. Yet, that's a horrible responsibility to have about someone else that is starting to act like a person that could snap from stresses in life.
Seriously, this
Pandemic has put a lot of Americans on edge in their own heads. They're waiting to be pushed over the edge from something we may view as
no big deal. I am shocked there are not more mass shootings in America while we're coming out of this Pandemic.
My America is a fucked up country and I know I made the right decision in raising my children in a safer country, not because of mass shootings... it was because America has a serious problem with guns, murders, assaults, drugs, lack of respect for their environment/community...
period.
