Let's do a thought experiment here.
Let's pretend that conservatives were the ones warning of global warming and liberals said it was a hoax.
Then, as co2 levels rose, the earth's temperature did nothing for fifteen years.
So the conservatives said 'the heat must be hiding in the ocean'.

some of the agw nutters have argued their speculation is superior to Salbys... but you can't argue the core of his message was discredited because recently the IPCC and top agw nutters scientists have admitted the agw nutter models need to incorporate sun, tides and other forcings.
Which is the point of Salby's last ten minutes. The models were too simplistic and the earths atmosphere is complicated.
