Dude, it's not even close to the same thing and you know it. About the only thing similar is that they were both exercising Free Speech, and I defend both of their rights to do so.
However, if you say something like that, and your job is reporter, you can expect your company to take issue with it. Google also had the right to take issue with their employee's comments (which were not even in the same universe as the CBS reporter's). And the public has the right to judge accordingly.

Just going over through different stuff regarding the Las Vegas, and some say, the "Sin City" shooting, this one actually shocked me
Why : because actually people DID die. And no matter what, I feel for their friends and families.
Yep, they were mocking the guy above trying to save their lives ( God works in mysterious ways). Yes, if this preacher was the mysterious way God tried to save them, then these souls need more prayers, as the mockers certainly were not clear before God. Good Christians, even in doubts, would have taken this
preacher words seriously, and may be have decided to go home and pray a bit, instead of mocking him.
So yes, mea culpa for going straight into the "spirituality" understanding, and forgetting the
"material" reality. Peace be with their friends and families, and I hope they are clean when now facing - unexpectedly- the Creator.

Many USA people claim to be Christians. Apparently, the crowd going to this pagan concert
