No rent due until October!!

I haven't missed a single rent payment since the pandemic began and I paid my student loans in full (delayed my graduation by 2 years because I worked the entire time I was in college so I could graduate with minimal student loan debt).

There is something rotten about what is going on in this country.

No effective enforcement on irresponsible freeloaders. That's what's rotten in the country and in this world. If we have more of those Pulp Fiction guys who mean business when people don't pay up, everybody will be like you. But of course we live in a world where squatting and freeloading and not paying up is considered human rights.

Best movie ever

If this expires in October, what are the effects going to be for landlords, renters, credit, personal spending? What is the magnitude of this?

It is going to be huge, if landlords have not already gone bankrupt, many will. Renters not going to be able to pay for past months of rent and be forced out by courts and will be in the streets as other landlords won't rent to them. Renters will have bad credit for several years, they can file chapter 13 bankruptcy which will give them another five months in their apartments or whatever.

I sold nearly all my real estate holdings five years ago, all of it been in my 401k llc. But my rental houses were hedged, I rented to Section 8 renters, 70% of the rent was paid from U.S. gov't, so even if today they don't pay, they will lose their status to get another Section 8 unit, and I would still be paid by the government to include all structural damages.
Sold cause basically got tired of dealing with human beings, don't care much for most people as it is, but was able to perfects others to pay the 85% mortgages with least amount of risk.

America is certainly Great, once you figure how the games are played, hire intelligent CPA's and attorney's, life is totally different from the masses. I think most people are sheep, they just follow, don't put extra effort, don't live below their means.....

It's not The Left that's rotten. It's the Radical Left that's the problem.
"The Left" has capitulated to "the Radical Left" a while ago. Just look at "the Left" forcing language like "birthing persons" instead of "mothers" in US federal laws. It's not "the Radical Left" doing it.

For the landlords: They are going to get everyone they can find, the sheriffs, the police, the enforcers, their big cousins to get the unpaying renters out. Yes

For the renters: If they have really invested in meme stocks with their stimmie checks, they will have to cash out to pay the rent. If they can't pay, they will either have to go to shelters or live in their cars, or be homeless. Yes, their human rights of "free housing" is going to be violated, lots of sob stories of people with children driven homeless because of big bad evictors.

What I am concerned more is about the national security caused by the eviction process and its potential replication on the whole nation. Should any of the evictors happen to touch one strand of hair on those renters being evicted and he/she happen to die, that's going to invoke another round of violent protestors, even riots, Nancy Pelosi is going to have to kneel again if the victim happens to be African American and depending on the magnitude and the gravity of the situation according to how it's spinned by the mass media, military might need to be involved. The whole nation might be under siege.

Of course this is the absolute worse-case scenario but with a leader as sleepy as Biden in power and someone as radical and despotic as Harris as the 2nd in command, United States is neither stable nor effective in stabilizing or quelling a potentially violent situation. The rest of the world especially China is going to just grab a seat and watch United States with popcorn in hand. This is probably the reason why they are extending the eviction ban again and again and again and again.

There is another "alternative.":)

We are not ready for UBI yet. UBI is only achievable and sustainable when there is full automation, 100% robotics or close to that that can push the economy to full economy, Y'.

wrong and delusional. We are seeing UBI right now under a different name and as a test run. So keep being wrong, I dont really care
