NFL Players Are Protesting America Again

Trump defended the freedom of speech of Nazis carrying guns but is looking to oppress that of football players silently kneeling.

Trump doesn't have a problem with them lawfully protesting on their own time and in the proper place. The league had close to a record number of felony arrests in the offseason. Inner city shootings kill a hundred times as many blacks as police shootings. Are the players complaining about that? Or do they glorify thugs like Ray Lewis, who just went into the HOF?

The thing the players don't seem to get is not just that we find their clownish protests offensive, we don't really care what they think. We have more time for the political opinions of a dancer at a topless club. Most of them are borderline shortbus with minimal education. Yet we're supposed to give them respectful attention, and lots of money, because they care so much. No thanks.

They have no right to freedom of speech in their workplace, but Trump does have the right to use his freedom of speech to speak out against their behavior.

Well trump is the chief executive of the government - his word should represent the word of the us government.

Conflating so many issues and stereotypes.

Your opinion of blacks is well understood here.

I don't know what "word" means in the context of rights. Apparently you are not American or something. But in this country the president and supreme court justices and Speakers of House etc. can all spout off about what they think and want. That does not make it law to be implemented nor does it make an abuse of power to give that view- even if repeatedly and forcefully.

Here’s how it goes for me.
I don’t care if they sit or stand or whatever.
I think they are retarded for making their protest and I agree with trumpy - most don’t know what they are protesting. They are protesting for the sake of protesting.

Either way,
I’m rooting for my team come Sunday.
It’s just one of my favorite things to do.
And the NFL is still the best game and televised sport to watch.

I’m not 12 years old. I don’t idolize anyone anymore....not even Trumpy.
