Damage to the NFL sponsors will be larger too as more and more people shun their businesses because they made the wrong choice to support disrespecting the US flag and anthem! Go to any other country in the planet and disrespect their flag and anthem and see what they do to you!

On another note, who would not stand up for their rights with a protest. This all seems like normal human behavior.
Black people in America have a valid point, the justice system is not fair. Black people face harsher sentences for the same crimes compared to whites.

Meanwhile, a police officer is shot and killed ONCE A WEEK in this country, and no one says fuck all.
I don't have all the stats, but I would hypothesize, about half of them shot and killed by people of 'colour' (blacks & latinos)

Police has been demonized by Barack Obama, our past divider in chief! He makes it seem every shooting of a black person is not justified! Take the Mike Brown case in Ferguson, Missouri. He let the DOJ loose to try and get the police officer Darren Wilson on charges despite, the cop having multiple injuries including, on his head! Mike Brown attacked him viciously and could have killed him! He was forced to shoot to save his own life! Most of the shooting of blacks, 80-90% of them are justified! Was there instances where the shooting was not justified? Yes. The black guy shot from behind by a police officer as he was running away. Police officer was tried and convicted of that murder!
I think there is a lot of truth to that. It has helped them and hurt them though. The anti Trump crowd, mainly sports "journalists", egg on the protest both to virtue signal and to goad Trump.
A lot of fans, probably a sizeable majority, see it that way too and it rubs them the wrong way. They know the league would never have tolerated it with Obama or even a Hillary Clinton presidency. But the leaders of the league are so arrogant and clueless that they have managed to put themselves on the side of disrespecting the flag and the President. It's a terrible business management mistake, the kind that should get you fired. Their players are hired help, any of whom can be easily replaced. If you lose the fans' loyalty though, you may never get it back.
