Maybe it does help, but don't ask for it if you don't qualify for it. That's why that IRS department exists. What's really happened is that some conservative groups self-selected themselves, through stupidity, out of the advocacy business. Working as intended.

Yes "leftist" groups that used the words Occupy, Progressive, or Israel also got the additional scrutiny. But the BOLO lists were more accurate than the first line screening in correctly identifying right-wing-cheaters. Even Koch brother lackeys can't win 'em all.

These new emails give the White House a convenient excuse to shove Lerner off the back of the wagon and let the wolves get her. Her raw hatred of anything conservative in effect insulates Obama. He didn't have to direct her to go after these groups. She was a radical kook who would do it own her own.

Of course, if she has anything to prove that the WH was in on it, they will still want to shield her.
