New Coronavirus Variant (Omicron; B.1.1529) a ‘Serious Concern’ in South Africa

I'm glad you don't make Public Health Decisions. Seriously, without the info I mention...they will not know which county in each state needs resources as the spread continues to grow and if the infection begins to result in hospitalization.

All of it man! Every county in each state needs all of it! Because when it gets here, then THIS happens...!

If my memory serves, @gwb-trading and @wrbtrader are at odds lately in the forum. So the fact they can come together in this thread and have a civil conversation is neat!

But to you, @wrbtrader I need to

My memory must be bad. We have not been at odds and most of the topics he engages in are not topics I'm interested in except for certain Covid / Vaccine topics. In fact, he participates in some threads that I don't because I have those individuals on ignore/block.

OMG, someone here is getting the point!

Point was made in 1918 Influenza and people primarily travel by ships although fewer travel routes than today in comparison to planes.

Its too bad we didn't have Satellite back then instead of just ocean maps. :D

Hey, it could be me. I just remember seeing you "guyses" names a lot recently in thread conflicts. *shrugs* And by recent I mean over the past year. I am not a linear thinker in that sense. Just overall. (That is a total poke at vanz. Shhh, don't tell him. :) )

And still no one is hardly dying from "Covid" in Africa.

As outlined by WHO, Africa has a high level of deaths from COVID... and this number rapidly increased with Delta. A number of African countries have such poor health infrastructure that they don't report Covid information -- but the countries which are reporting make it very clear the continent is a fiasco.

Let's take a look at information over recent months from Africa... Omiron is only going to make things worse.

Just watching the news… this NYC anime convention included 50,000+ people not only from the U.S. but from around the world including Japan, Asia, Europe, and Africa.

Not surprising that NYC had become the primary outbreak location. It is the largest east coast gateway for international travel. With Miami being the second U.S. east coast international gateway but with travel more focused to South & Latin America plus Caribbean.

More info on the anime convention...
