You must be running a bot to get a graphics card for gaming other than through a pc build company, or paying scalper prices, which I wasn't willing to do. I would have been fine to wait out the shortage and probably get the 30 series or AMD equivalent at a better price, especially since I am reading Nvidia and AMD are all ready finishing up the next level cards.
I would like to build a flight sim pc, and maybe I could get away with older hardware, but right now even the older gaming graphics cards are way overpriced. My idea is to make it VR ready as I know there is all ready a company supplying the military with VR flight training. I imagine a closer to reasonable price version will be available to us lower class soon enough. I am not a gamer per se, I want to use it to maintain my skills as I am in the process of getting back to flying real planes.

It doesn't seem logical that you would need a top-of-the-line gaming rig to run a flight simulator. It's not like a FPS. Which flight-sim software are you looking to run?
 
lol cyberpower. Vaporware or ships with used and downgraded components that blue screens when it hits 80 degrees C. Only Trumpers fall for that shit.
