From what I have seen while looking through a couple of his books years ago in a bookstore, he just dealt in trading pablum. Perhaps you read more into it than is there and benefited from your own insights rather than anything he provided. That would be my guess.

Yeah, sometimes learning is like interference waves, encounter one idea going your way and it doubles the signal amplitude.

His daughter did pretty well at 1000%. Also rigged? I think she is what made a lot of people think, ok it could be real.

I don't know if it was legitimate. I've not looked into it, and I cannot explain it. But if she can supposedly do so, then why can't her old man? He's the one selling the dream. Why has he never come close to that kind of performance after the Robbins "win" over 30 years ago? Why were his Million Dollar Challenge seminars all lackluster? Just doesn't pass the smell test for me.

I made a ton of money from 2015-2017 in a way that looking at it would seem impossible. However.. I was absolutely on fire and trading 17 hours a day, sometimes 36 straight and taking a day's rest. Then I found ET and it all went to shit haha

1000% is positive confirmation of edge. Nobody can argue that can they? Unless she made just two trades etc. She got an Academy Award, that lends to scintillating talent under the pretty skin. She deserved the Oscar. Edited, sorry that was Golden Globe but she was nominated by the academy four times.

I don't want to keep excusing him, just personally I know many have done so and I have experienced peak and loss of interest in trading myself. I hate sitting about the apartment nowadays just there is a last little bit of greed in me fading fast so I keep up a semblance of the routine.

You have to be the ball as it were, flow state etc. I don't know. However, I do know I need lunch and I'm going to the cafe instead of Uber eats

Because he continues to ride on the reputation of his Robbins "win" over 30 years ago. No other trading accomplishment was ever attributed to him either by himself or the publishers of his books. You'd think they'd exploit it if he did anything of note in the markets since then. Hound of the Baskervilles, and all that.

I would not accept anything from Williams at face value.

Burn out? I painted a painting one month when I had a small piece of lead inconsiderately pass through my body. Minding my own business..

But I painted a very nice painting, one I will never I am certain come close to in my remaining life. My mom was an artist, I got an A in my art exam leaving school but I always either under or typically over worked the canvas. One time I got it spot on.

It is notmal to have a great year or just a month in a life. And as I said, my broker says that 10k% area happens with small Futures accounts in his experience.

But we will never know either way.

I can't understand why you would give this guy the benefit of the doubt when it appears that he robbed his managed money clients blind in order to make money for himself in 1987, the year his legend was born. Or at least that is what the NFA alluded to in its finding that warned potential investors:

"There is no question that Mr. Williams's personal trading accounts had a material effect upon his composite trading performance. The record reflects that for the first quarter of 1987, Mr. Williams's composite performance showed a loss of $6,122,281, while at the same time Mr. Williams's personal accounts experienced a gain of $902,599. The Panel finds that the fact Mr. Williams was making significant gains while managed customer accounts were suffering considerable losses would be a material fact which a potential customer would need to know in order to make a fully reasoned decision."

I went through all if this in 2014, in very fine detail. I actually tracked down his trades, historic data to map them on and everything. I think it was an opening breakout but I could be mixing it up with someone else.


He was negligent of his customers while dead set on the competition. No doubt but they were trading different things. He got caught for tax fraud, ~2million but that is quite normal.

Nobody has shown how he used huge losses in the customer accounts to give him an edge on his private account for the competition.

There has to be a mechanism and I searched, could not find this. Logically yes, drop a rock and the ripple can be predicted but.. I never found anyone who had a bead on this.

On the other hand, he was using a computer I recall to do breakouts (if him.. 90% certain) I'm at the cafe on my phone and I've had so much info go through my noggin since 2014

That could have worked in the conditions at the time. Personally, I find the later Mark whathisname ADC stuff unusable but I had something similar I cooked up working very well for gold. It was reliable enough to automate.

If you want to make a ton of money just trade indices Sunday opening gaps but you need the capital.

We just disagree here, I know what he did can be done as a percentage in a year. I strongly doubt his daughter was in on the scam from 7 years old.

He hired VZ to pump his trading prowess down in the dirt dungeon(Pol Forum)but to no avail so he started this thread, also I’m sure on advice from VZ & associates. This has his stench all over it.

Its posts like this.... Mr. San Diego.... that give credence to my hypothesis that we need to drag our feet a bit and see what happens in Canada first before we legalize weed nationwide.

On a lighter note.... Slart.... buy the VW...... that particular model is a GREAT car. First hand knowledge of a (stupid) owner of one. Hopefully as a 2011 it doesn't have too many miles.... make sure they ran synthetic oil too. If its been babied... those are great cars. Bullet-proof if maintained well.
