Interesting that I agree with you except that I would occasionally want to admonish the odd Democrat here and there to stop behaving like a typical Republican. So it appears that we are aware of the same problem, more or less, except in mirror image. Still a step in the right direction I suppose.

On the rare occasions when partisanship has been put aside, I've found that conservatives and liberals actually believe in a number of things that are similar. There will be obvious issues where they are polar opposites, but we can get back to civil discourse and fixing things if we just focus on the items that we both agree on, and the problems with politicians in general, without every...single...issue... requiring an "enemy at the gates" response.

They know how to make money. In business your job is to grow while not letting expenses get out of hand. You negotiate with suppliers(in the case of government, other countries) and get your product sold. Government makes money by people having jobs and paying taxes, so a businessman knows the more people he can get working, the more taxes that come in and the more everyone is happy.

I think this is something that could also apply to your admonition that we all just be nonpartisan, get along and work on things together. That has never happened, it's never going to happen, and in my opinion it never will happen. It's not reality, so, if we're going to forget about obama's documents, we should also forget about everyone working together. That is not going to happen and we should focus on passing our agenda through with our own efforts, and not hold out for some dim hope that the democrats will ever go along with us.

Why do you think we are above such standard now? If the brother was highly qualified then there is nothing wrong. The definition of nepotism is to favor someone, who is otherwise equally or less qualified as other applicants, just because such individual is friends and family.

actually Nepotism, by its traditional and standard definition has nothing to do with merit. You could hire your son in law, who could incidentally be incredibly well qualified, and it is still nepotism. Whether it is good or bad depends on context. Nepotism in government, or in the running of publicly owned corporations, is thought to be a very bad practice, whereas in privately owned businesses it my be looked on favorably or unfavorably depending on ones point of view. It would seem that one of the statutes that the U.S. needs, and one we apparently don't have, is an anti-nepotism law affecting the Administrative Branch. That could be a worthwhile item on Congresses agenda that should should have across isle appeal.

I might note that some of Puerto Rico's problems stem from rampant nepotism in government and tax payer owned entities. One might say that Puerto Rico is the poster child for Nepotism and how bad it can get!

Scientists say and have shown evidence there is global warning.The FBI has been investigating trump colluding with Russia for 8 months and counting.

The State of Hawaii released Obama's BC and their public officials have publicly confirmed he was born there.If The FBI had been investigating Obama's birth certificate and SS # for months I would have taken it more seriously.The FBI never investigated Obamas BC and our court system repeatedly threw the nonsense out.
