Nepotism reaching new levels under Trump

Why do you think we are above such standard now? If the brother was highly qualified then there is nothing wrong. The definition of nepotism is to favor someone, who is otherwise equally or less qualified as other applicants, just because such individual is friends and family.

Bobby Kennedy was an attorney that had already worked at The Dept of Justice and The US Senate committee on investigations.What experience in government does Jarad and Ivanka have that would qualify them help overhaul the government?

Regardless of qualifications, a President shouldn't be installing his relatives like this merely for the sake of optics, if not anything else.

There was huge opposition even in the democrat majority senate, of which they had 64 senators. And there was virtually no chance that Bobby Kennedy was going to be confirmed, so they pulled a scammaroo and had a voice vote instead of a recorded vote to get it done.

At that point, any questions about nepotism are null and void. Republicans don't have to abide by anything that is not equally subjected to democrats.

I agree with you on a lot of topics, but cannot on this point. Just because the democrats are enormously fucked up shouldn't give us, as conservatives, a pass on being equally fucked up (or forgiving said poor behavior).

Instead, I would prefer to focus on all politicians who behave badly, regardless of partisanship. If only our liberal brothers would do the same, we could all focus on fixing problems at the root cause, and not defending someone simply because they are on the same side of the aisle as we are.

Interesting that I agree with you except that I would occasionally want to admonish the odd Democrat here and there to stop behaving like a typical Republican. So it appears that we are aware of the same problem, more or less, except in mirror image. Still a step in the right direction I suppose.
