Just keep in mind that they probably care about your best interest and don't want to see you lose. I know I have to hide a lot of things from my family and friends, and I get the same kind of peace as if I were working a 9-5 job.

People don't take you seriously when you tell them you trade, and if they believe it they see what they can get out of you. You're better off living a secret life than to deal with the negative crap that comes from people knowing you have money. Good luck

Normal people don't understand this world. Let them think you are part of the 9-5 crowd, act normal, and don't flash your wealth to them. You can enjoy it yourself, but definitely do NOT let them know you have wealth! Worse possible thing.

In addition one of strategies (not in the book that I recall but that I discovered that works quite well) is to just agree with them. You take away their argument and they have nothing to fight about. Just say “you know you may be correct. Could you tell me more”. Then just go ahead and do what YOU are going to do anyway paying no attention to their advice.
