I see I get COMMs on Gold, 7cents per $1 so $1.40 at my $20 PP, cost me $25 today, but as I've made many times that, who cares, 50% increase in Spread!

Thinking of calling it a week and hitting the gym!

I'm making good $$$$'s, I'm not stressed and I'm enjoying it again, which means not going CRAZY then Blowing it all becoming self destructive ( maybe! ) LOL
 
I'm pretty much just trading off the 24lwma breaks. holding gold long +$200 here, out slipping away +$170 what a day :)

NQ isn't tradeable at this time at all and Gold kept me busy, nice!!

Next week, run Gold upto $50 per point and max 3 positions, only need approx $1500 Margin for that so well in!!

down short 2032.5 L33.5 Stall 31.5 +$20

Chop and Fails till US Open, if played or very small profits.

+18pt up move, then huge down move then mostly chop. ( Mondays suck ), loser day for sure if I went hard.

Next day...

Pretty good trend before US Open, then just gets better.

Get Rich simple as

No more DAX for the time being, too choppy too often, Gold better currently.
 
Go test this variant: trade FDAX and/or NQ your strategy BUT limit trading time to cases when very important level on 1 hour (or 4 hours, question of testing) timeframe is broken more that 0.5%

What is very important level? It is swing point high/low, trendline on 1/4 hours chart, may be (question of test) reaction after key market news.

The core idea is: your strategy is momentum trading, so limit the battle field only to the period when the momentum is expected and inactive trading is less probable. Step in market only after breakout already took place and confirmed (move after break 0.5%+ for indexes is enough), not before and not at key level. Step out when momentum slow down.

Go test and chances are you will see that it could be valuable addition to gold which is active most days

Too much like hard work for me....

Saying that can't get a break today, okay had 1 DAX went +$400 pretty quickly.

Still -$200 on the day and considering my life choices big time LOL

Market is going up, Join, and markets changed direction, SL hit. Time and Time and time again.

The few trades I didn't take, just kept going.

Others I held to a nice +$200 profit, got greedy then yes quickly reversed and hit SL, if I'd of taken all the +$200's I've seen today, I'd be very happy but no, I'm stupid!!

MONDAYS!!! FFS!!

Back on Demo and the Same, a string of, join and reverse losers LOL
 
Might have found the solution, but said that before, to this damn chop issue....

a 24Lwma H and L +/- 0.01 so tad wider, 2 options........

6LWMA H and L +0.02% works best with this also.

1. Take a trade, with 24's direction, when 6's direction matches up.

2. Play direction changes, but not until inside the 24's range. kinda burn through,

SL outside the 6 I guess.

GYM, constant Demo losers 15losers in a row totally -$300 LOL Good job I switched to Demo.


Need to Demo new plan to death!! and back!!! getting annoyed, sometimes I'm hot then I'm not, ODD!!
 
So todays screw up, got to stop repeating screw ups.


1. Playing a direction change that ends too soon, but I'm gunning for a big move hence holding too long then taking a loss, then big moves exiting too soon as beaten up.

2. My Method, when trend changes no longer has a small loss, it's a painful loss, which after a few of them is a SL moving loss then hope and got to get a break sooner or later comes in.

Need to compromise.

Got a new setup in mind, looks good, got to stick to tight SL's and taking profit earlier and repeating often or downward spiral.

Demo Day tomorrow, see if I can beat 14 demo losers in a row, skills, considering I was trading 65% profitable last week LOL

Envelopes 20lwma High +0.02% and Low -0.02%
Not a huge change, just wider, more time before it trips direction change, which was hurting me today, more emphasis on the direction.
Take Trades with and WAIT for a direction then join via.......

Same old!!!

Just reducing the chop!!

Add a 20 H and L +0.08%, and my brain is seeing it as sideways noise /chop and don't bother.

Hopefully stopped seeing everything as a breakout aswell ie holding to SL.

Demo session about to start, 14losers in a row to beat lol
