Need somewhere to think out loud,

NQ was tricky today, was down $300 on NQ, pulled back $200 on that move up into the close so +$183 which I still consider a good day, was -$30 area briefly after all.

NQ was DEAD while I was around, direction change, join new direction, get to +3pts then reverse, 6 losers in a damn row, 11300 kept refusing to break only barely managed it.

First trade of the day, little play on DAX +$470, good start.

+$255 in my afternoon session so far, scratching around a lot again, no real good runs, 1 or 2 I thought would came back on me, but hey, profit!!

Getting into the method, it's more about stall and reverse points today via a tight SL, trend is weak again on the NQ.

Like my first +$1000 day ( had a few -$1000 days ), but tired so GYM time, back for last 2 hours of NQ as it's chop here.
 
No more trades, stayed in the gym too long, had 2 ladies smile at me, 1 a solid 9, other a 7 who smiled a few times, must be getting fitter and they must be getting more desperate :)
 
SCREWED UP THE CLOSE, figured FED would bring NQ back to near ++++ epic fail.

from +$340 in profit, to gambly and 3 positions ie $30 per point to -$1006


1 looked like a run up, got to BE on the Day, should of killed it, but alas stupid and reversed HARD on me costing me $900 then lost most being stupid and going long, even went short but closed it for +50 went +250 LOL!!

STUPID 45mins and all hopes and dreams dashed again :(

only -$92 on the week atleast with 2 days to go!!

Ignoring stupid pig head trade, method works, but it's hard work and far from printing money, which is the goal obviously.

Realisations....

Setting SL too tight, got SLd out twice noise, -90 got back in went +170 slightly more on SL and went +140 so +60 better off. The 5 range is great but costs me and makes me too scalpy.

Also too easy to jump on direction in chop, yep long top of chop = loss

The 10lwma H and L +0.03% on the other hand rocks very little wastage SL hits

My trades are too late after the turn, doesnt make much money cause too worried its a fake. Too much stress for small profits.

So new plan, back on demo in the am...

10lwma HL +/- 0.03% used more as a range than a direction, so try to get good price long near the low and vice versa.

Then 24lwma this is the direction trading the 10s range with, chops or continues 24 i make money plan.

Most of the time SL outside of the 10s range, but if near extend to 24 H and L 0.05% range.

Got to then learn to hold better / longer / smarter.


Also learning and evolving or dying.
 
Lets play a game of work and did not work, simple rules, not going to try to guess an entry of, so if trade taken anywhere in that range would it A move to possible profit or B Fail out and hit SL ( Failing on 10 until 25 range near, don't want huge SL's only slight increase here.

Change 9:40am BAaAA
Chop 10:25, then turn down AaA BE
Up 11:25 Ab
Down fast ignore
UP 12:04, AB
Down 14:23 A A

Much less subjective, patience needed is going to be my downfall. Very Few SL's for no reason, worth 2x's the SL for 1/2 the SL's I guess.

If you like fast and volatile markets on 1min scale I recommned you to look at COMEX Gold future. This animal is active on London or NY session or both and 80% of days good moves takes place. Also micro contract is avialable (1$ per tick) so no need to trade CFDs if one wanna start small.
