Calling it a day, heading out of town for the weekend in a couple of hours.

Good luck to all!

If you wouldn't mind, I would like to make a slight suggestion to your philosophy. I think as a very short term daytrader, it would be best to get a wireless connection that works anywhere, so you can keep abreast of the market during the entire day and not take off for half the day. I believe that oportunities, perhaps very good ones, will be missed. I see daytraders say "done for the day" all the time. I don't agree with that. Now if you are trading longer frames perhaps 60 minutes or more, then taking off is probably ok. :)

I beg to differ, it is quite healthy to get away from the market for a few hours completely. I find the batteries "recharge" better!

'Nothing wrong with making a few bucks and calling it a day.
Tommorow will always bring another trading day.

Have a nice weekend!

Yes--this is one of the reasons that I prefer trading longer frames, so I agree with you. A very short term daytrader though in my view should not take off unless they have some longer frame positions working.

Hi B1S2;

I am one of those very short term daytraders that regularly/frequently (4 or 5 times a month) says "done for the day". I agree opportunities are missed, but trading (very short term or otherwise) is not about taking every possible trade.

There is a quality of life issue that a trading career allows. I don't know about anyone else, but it is that quality of life issue that drives me to progress as a trader.

Osorico [flat and happy] :)

I am moving into a fixed rate return till this fall. The last two months have been very good to me, so far this year I am up 36% As some of you know I am not comfortable on the short side. So I sit and wait.

Ciao!
