Everybody.

and BTW - now that I'm pseudo-Canadian - who do I apologize to.

Canada has a very diverse society. Many cities such as Toronto have large immigrant populations from all over the world. These immigrants work hard and help Canada move forward. Many of the immigrants are very bright with advanced degrees. I enjoy working with people from all over the world and learn quite a bit while doing so.
I am not promoting getting rid of all immigrants from the middle east - many of these people are not radicals and very much benefit Canadian society. What I am promoting is going to the center of radicalization in Canada - Quebec - and cleaning up the Islamic radicalization problem at its source.
That's fine for Canada, I guess. But if you advocate making it a crime to preach hate against your fellow citizens here in the US, you're going down a slippery slope against Freedom of Speech.
I don't like it any more than you do, but hate speech should be allowed with the rest of speech.
If you're going to make a worthless point, don't be surprised when it's overlooked.
The fact is that guns are illegal in Canada. Yet this didn't stop the guy from killing someone. One more example of how laws on guns are ineffective - even in Canada where there aren't still millions of illegal guns.
The failure would be all the more spectacular here in the US. So you and your Judy buddy can dream on, because that's all it will ever be - a dream.
Numerous posts on this forum would be illegal in Canada. Specifically, the more obvious racism and bigotry. Several posters on here could be charged criminally if anyone thought it was worthwhile. The site owner would be required by law to identify the posters who were posting the hatred.
The US could learn a lot from Canada, you'd be a less violent, safer country with less hatred.
