Marvy.... If the USERS weren't still able to talk about the software this thread would have been shut down. But you knew that. This is not the Multicharts Technical Support Site, where the principal of Multicharts software gets to provide support and promote his product. It's in violation of ET's No Free Advertising policy and you know it. As I also said, if you have concerns that only Andrew can answer you need to contact him and his support staff directly. Surely someone with so much time on his hands that he's able to make copious support posts here can answer your questions at his own Multicharts website.

I don't work for MultiCharts nor do I have a financial interest in MultiCharts. I was just popping in here to offer my help to some users. I fully understand the policy and if you need to remind others that is fine, then remind them.

I would imagine Andrew posts here outside his support duties at MultiCharts since he is in Russia which is 7 hours ahead of ET. People talk about products on ET, daily without having an interest in them. We discuss hardware all of the time and I have yet to see a mod step in an stop that.

I repeat, I understand your concern and agree with the policy but contact the offending parties through PM's.

No problem. My initial post was not directed at you, nor the occasional help you provide here. It was directed at a non-sponsor software company posting (on an ongoing basis) in violation of ET's policy.

People talk about products on ET, daily without having an interest in them. We discuss hardware all of the time and I have yet to see a mod step in an stop that.

Again, no problem with USERS discussing software or hardware. It's very useful to have a meeting place like ET where traders can have those discussions. But that's not what I was addressing regarding the No Free Advertising policy.
