Could be, as MQL5 and C++ aren't 100% identical. Nevertheless, even cTrader's pure C# might not help if the developer has no clue about the markets. This is rather difficult to find qualified developers to programm EAs for MT5. I tried cooperationg with two guys and even though both have shown a good level of proficiency in C++, it was really difficult to work with them. I wonder if MQL5 language cuased the difficulties or that's smth else.
I won't argue. Though, I've heard some rumors that developers that deal with trading strategies don't fancy MT5 too much. Well, at least I've heard this from several guys that have some experience in the field.Could be, as MQL5 and C++ aren't 100% identical. Nevertheless, even cTrader's pure C# might not help if the developer has no clue about the markets.
Both platforms have their means to develop algos (EAs at MT5 and cBots at cTrader) but the programmer must know how quotes work and how markets work to be able to cooperate with a trader.
Ctrader's been on the market since 2010, MT since 2004 if I'm not mistaken. If you as my opinion that's not an sufficient enough argument to make a final choice.Personally, I would opt for a platform that is on the market and it is MT4.
