I think they both considered ET as gainful employment for Surf.

I had my differences with him over his hero worshiping trait
i.e. timothy sykes, neiderhoffer. but this much can be said for him what he has forgotten about markets you still have to learn.

your remark leaves no doubt as to your character

I think Surf himself would disagree with that statement.

After getting him banned, you presume to speak pro fluctus ascensorem?

It's easy to speak for a simpleton. Now how did I get him banned? I must have powerful friends. He pissed off the entire site, save for you, honey. I give credit where credit is due; even I have not succeeded in alienating tens of thousands of ETers.

I realize that you're pot-committed with the new baby and that you have to back him up, but wtf were you thinking?

even if drownpruf was new here..how could you say surf "knows more about markets?"

to him. wild ASSumptions.

you disappoint me.

additionally surf always ignored rational points only to use a few often repeated key retorts. as a guy who claimed to be in the know; he behaved like a kid in the basement.

with that said i would not mind him back if he promised to act more like a trader and not so much an instigator. a bonus would be if he actually did the trades he calls out.

This is what led to his banning IMO. He would make statements, ignore rational points, and would continue to argue. It wasn't his disagreeing that was the problem, it's the WAY in which he did. And when he admitted the Surf persona was just here to create "reactions", I believe he sealed his own fate.

smurf got himself banned - again. Just like he got himself banned all those previous times he's been banned.

Anyone already suggested rendering the ignore feature inoperative in (and only in) the P&R forum?

My inspiration for the idea:

"Not for the faint of heart. If you are easily offended, stay away from this forum!"

He knows next to nothing about the markets...Seriously, the guy proved it time after time for more than a decade.

(How much did he promise to deposit in your paypal account?)

Dumbass.

He signed one of his last posts as "Atticus".

Now go back, do a little research and get back to us.
