Most lost in one trade

No doubt I have the craziest.. I think. In the dot-com days I had a data feed issue that caused me to buy 24,000 shares of EAST (can't forget the ticker) instead of 2,400.. (kept clicking when it looked like my order was not transmitting) True to form they couldn't believe it and promptly ran it down.. and down.. and down from around 11 to 7 or so.. where I finally regained consciousness and sold.. for a 90k+ loss.. one trade on a 170k or so account.
I was stunned but was so cocky back then I swore to regain it.. and got it back in less than 2 weeks.. as I remember mostly from trading AMTD, which ironically is my broker today.

Lost $600 on Wellcare (WCG) when I first started for-real trading. Lost another $350 on AAPL when I failed to adjust my stop down to 155 from 161 a week or so ago. Other losses have been around $100 or less, but my returns have been accordingly small. I'm a terrible trader.

Mnnnhhhh, I remember the day perfectly clear. I was pumping gas and my phone rang. It was my broker suggesting I buy SUNW. I would venture a guess, no-- wait scratch that-- it is not a guess. It is an accurate reconstruction. I bought SUNW at exactly the high --------pfffttt straight down from there, faster than a speeding bullet.
I thought afterwards. I could do that myself (lose MY money), why do I need him?

$20,000 max? I've had at least a dozen -100k days.
That's quite a system you have there.
Kidding aside, can you give us an idea of your account equity at the time? Just to get a better idea of the relative size of those skid marks.
Although certainly not on a single trade, I've had my account equity dip by almost 60% at one point. (A most unpleasant learning curve, which always seems to be negatively correlated with an equally dramatic account equity curve, eh?) Admittedly, however, I play in a much smaller sand box.
