The same could be said about nearly all on the list, from what I can tell.
But it's the turn that Marxism took that distinguishes it from others. It's absolutely a failed idea - that revolution must proceed socialism.
But many have taken that route, not as a road to some sort of "nirvana" that socialism promises, but as an excuse for a power grab "for the benefit of the proletariat".
