It does change things for people.
I saw last week a man from El Salvador.
I asked him: did you follow a diet because you lost almost half your weight?
He answered: Unfortunately not. Last year I followed the advice from our president that would make our life much better. I invested all my money in BTC and live now in BTC instead of our national currency. I wanted to avoid the inflation/devaluation of our national currency and protect my buying power. The last 6 months, I needed all my money to buy food. But BTC lost value on a daily basis. 6 months ago I had just enough BTC to buy enough food, but since then BTC lost 2/3 of his value. So I can buy now 3 times less food.
So for the criminals it changed a lot, but for the brainless too.
