mlm guru doug Allen thread closed. Why?

What I can't understand is why some of you put so much effort into discrediting this guy? So you can pat yourself on the back for discrediting a fraud? Who cares...

I filled out the form and yes, it's possible I wasted my time. However, the reward far outweighs the risk. If he is legit and I have the opportunity to make more money than I currently am, why not? I know I have a legitimate edge in the market and if I have to start out by trading 1 contract on a 10k account for someone else so I can build their trust, I will, so long as there is opportunity to manage a larger account down the road.

So my time may have been wasted... yours definitely is.

I filled out the form and questionnaire as well, with the same approach of 'no risk - potential reward, sounds good to me'.

I'm intrigued about what the bottom line is but while we're all waiting to find out there's no harm in raising a few pertinent questions of our own is there, after all Doug's the one who's big on getting to know each other.

You should come with us in the weekends when we tilt windmills.
Frankly I don't see the time as wasted.
If we can help poor old doug clean up his act then a good deed has been done indeed.

We are only trying to help.

Quote from Doug Allen:

I think he was trading around $500k, then margined it to $1 million, then took something like a $400k loss in about a week. His equity dropped back down to about $100k, at which point he took all the money out, bought a house, and paid off his car.

Somehow I'm missing the part about why I would be responsible for any of these actions???

Doug

It's not possible to avoid the maintenance call on this 2:1 equity position and be stopped out at $100k remaining. Well, there is one way, so I'll offer you the chance to elaborate. Do you mean he took equity from 500m to 1,000m and back to 600m? Or simply that he bought a mil in stock with 500-large?

Blue Lion Capital is your FoF business? A FoF biz with a UPS Store mailing address?

94 men enter, 1 man leaves with the keys to the kingdom... of course there is no mention of AUM, it could be $10k for all we know. The only tangible offering is some mentoring from a woman who has no trading experience. There is no way to get the "winner" vetted by the participants. You offer "Mr. Smith" $100,000,000, but don't worry folks, you fukn losers are eligible for free mentoring! Sounds like a bad time-share pitch. I would hazard to guess there is zero legitimacy to this pitch, unless you think a token $10-$20k POA account to be legit.

An offering from a guy with no office address. A FoF business operating out of a UPS Store.

I'll be happy to take action on the possibility that the "winner" will be an ET handle with less that 50 posts.

Please be less obscure about the AUM you're considering, and lend credibility to this offer by providing your office address. You know, one w/o a UPS counter.

@atticus,
Maybe if you post your neame, address, and phone number, you can shame Doug into doing the same.

doug approached ET, atticus was already here.
It is all a question of motive.
Since doug wants something, it is for him to connect the dots.

I'm still at a loss as to what exactly it is he's trying to accomplish here, it seems he's putting an awful lot of effort into it whatever it is!

Did anyone read the letter that I posted a couple pages back

It clearly shows Doug's intentions. The old "Bait-and-Switch".

Let's say only 2% of the 100 respondents sign-up for a paid coaching session from Patti, then Doug's little campaign was a marvelous success. Patti gets paid, Doug gets his cut, and everybody is happy.

But what about the offer to trade Doug's money for free,..you say?

Well, MLM Master Marketeer Doug sends out a simple e-mail form letter informing all participants that the "winner" has been chosen (albeit no one will ever be chosen), but to stay tuned for future slots that will open up.

Cost to perform this MLM Campaign: around $50 for Website and Domain Registration.

Signing-up a couple of knuckleheads for an expensive coaching session: PRICELESS

Atticus is a legit member of the elite community. He is a real person and those who know, know who he is. no need for him to post anything.

Plus he isnt soliciting traders for a FOF or whatever. If he was, I am sure there would no issue with him posting his business address

no one is asking for personal info here, just a legit business address/info

When I was posting a few years back results of the infrastructure development at our fund ("Pictures of your trading stations" thread) I had a lot of people doubting me. To back up my claims I posted my picture, our address, the name of the company, its location, the results of testing and even invited a few ET members to visit our facility. Some of them have visited and posted their opinion about what they saw. It answered all of the concerns and the discussion became very productive. Why not do the same here?

From the letter
Quote from Doug Allen:
That's why I'm seriously considering having Patty do a coaching program for everybody who expressed interest in my offer -not just the people who I choose to fund. And don't worry, there will be no charge for this. It will be my way of saying thanks to all the people who supported me in the forum.

Free training and free money to trade:
Can it get any better than this?
What if it is true?:D :D
