We're only days away from the wise advisors, the ones that have been leaking info for six months, telling him that with a very deep heart, he needs to resign......for the good of the country.....because that's the only way healing can take place. Any day now the message will be delivered.

The other part of that message will be that if he doesn't, he will be impeached. It will come after Mueller uncovers some minor indiscretion that they will play up into the crime of the century. Like they did with Richard Nixon.

It will be the end of the republican party either way. Can't say that would be much of a loss.

I think we can mostly agree blue participation ribbons and trophies were a bad idea.

A pity about the soft-arse boomers but inevitable. They had everything handed to them on the back of WWII. Money flowed in rivers of blood from Europe to America's reservoirs.

This illustrates why any compromise, no matter how well-intentioned, with these people is a mistake. It only raises the floor for further concessions. A true compromise settles the issue for once and for all, and it involves concessions on both sides. The left is not in the business of making concessions. Why should they when they have the media, the entire democrat party, most of the republican party, corporate America and the educational establishment supporting them?

Trump's UN ambassador, former SC governor Nikki Haley, got this started when she cravenly surrendered on Confederate displays in SC after the Dylan Roof church shooting. Of course, sensing weakness the left upped its demands. Now we have thuggish black "pastors" demanding statues of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson be removed. They owned slaves you see.

The group that gets this is the NRA. That is why they oppose any and all "compromises", ie unilateral concessions, on gun rights.

I think Trump sees that the left is getting way ahead of itself on this and is really offending his constituents. Hence his reluctance to fall into line. Plus, he and Bannon want the left to focus on race issues and leave the economic populism to Trump.
