Frankly, had you made a point worth commenting on I'm sure someone would have commented on it. I'm only commenting now because you referred to me in your post.

I'd say the poor in the US don't shoot the rich because they don't want to go to jail.

Was there some other great truth you wished to express?

And there is no chance that you would ever get the other truth for the reason expressed in the prior post. I alluded to you because your posts are most illustrative of the syndrome and others might see it in you and thus get some insight, not because I thought that there was really a chance that you might. But it is interesting that you responded ... enough from me on the topic, people either get it or they don't.

We need to raise estate taxes, not lower them. Low estate taxes do nothing to promote economic activity, all they do is create a parasitic class of the likes of Paris Hilton. I say, hike the top estate tax rate to 80-90%, and use the proceeds to cut income taxes to encourage income-generating endeavors.

and clearly taxing dead people for their entire wealth would inccrease productivity while people are still alive..

sheesh...nobody said min wage increases saved britain but all the doom and gloom scenario portrayed by those who were opposed was just in their mind...in fact it has helped consumer spendin' and raised standard of life for the poor....u keep arguin' that it would be bad while u got no facts to support u views...on the contrary in all the countries it has been done it has had zero negative effect on the economy and on your taxes.

Yes, and it also shows that we are not teaching economics enough in high school. While I don't fault the bleeding hearts for their intentions, its the actual outcomes of their policies that they always ignore because as long as the intentions were good, they feel fine. Meanwhile the victims of these policies continue to believe their saving grace is in the very thing that keeps them down...abdication of personal responsibility to the government.
