I always wondered what the USA got out of free trade (Mexico).We got cheap labour for companies that took away american jobs (taxes). What do we export to them that would increase our exports? I assume corporations make more profits but at the expense of the working class. I am no economic genius but the the trade figures to me show that we are getting the shortend of the deal.

those are monthly figures and dont reflect the long term trend in the labor mkt. u posted a graph earlier and then deleted it...if u could read it properly u would have noticed unemployment fell from a high of 70+% to a present figure of around 5%...all this since labor came to power by the way.
If I could read it properly? 70%? That's the EMPLOYMENT rate, dude. (employment plus unemployment does NOT equal 100%) Goodness even in the Great Depression unemployment barely tallied 20%.

no, sure it doesnt, but at six yrs highs is the number of jobless claims not the actual number of unemployed people.
employment fallin' supports my previous claim that business owners dont have to keep recruitin' new staff, again for the reasons i stated earlier.

Increase in minimum wage is a smokescreen to put cotton candy on more tax cuts for the rich... This is the HOUSE version, what happens in the Senate is another matter. But politics being what they are you can be assured the minimum wage is a small toy from the box of crackerjack for the kiddies and the rest is for the fat slobs that wolf this poppycock down.
Lets just get rid of all taxes on estates and have a feudal society run by a few families and corporations like Halliburton. I mean what is wrong with unfettered capitalism? LOL
Same deal about WAL-MART leaving Germany, S Korea, their redneck ways of doing business and fleecing the workers suppliers etc just will not always fly in more sophisticated places around the world.
