Quote from magnum29464:

what is his trading method. I've read that he is the obsessive type watching the market constantly..

Lol, he definitely didn't get rich by disclosing his methods. But you are right on about the second part.

Quote from Cocaine:

Ultimately the most important thing is you afford yourself a lifestyle that suits your needs. Personally I live well below my means, mainly because I am just not a "stuff" guy. I am happy with good wine, good food and not much else materialistically.

I agree. But a steady blow habit must set you back a bit eh?

Quote from magnum29464:

oh ok,

did you learn anything from him?

Everything I know about the eurodollars markets, I know from him. He was the one who introduced me to futures.

This Ray guy was a big local in Euro's?? I don't think I've heard of him, which is odd, but we def. must know people from the same circles, does he still trade?

Yeah he's still trading. I don't think he's going to stop until he goes blind.

I guess he's semi-famous.

I mean... The last chapter of this book is about him.

If I am not mistaken,Cahnman was a treasury spread trader on the floor, nob, fob and the like.I don't think he traded Eurodollars on the floor at the Merc.

I know he was one of the early adopters of screen trading. He probably began trading the swap and Eurodollar spreads once he left the floor.

Most of the guys I knew, or knew of in Chicago, who made vast amounts of money over a long period of time were spreaders of some sort. Yeild curve traders and option guys mostly.
