Mike Vick Reinstated--Where Does He End Up?

Didn't read all the posts in this thread so apologies if this is redundant. I didn't know he drowned and electrocuted dogs too.
Thats less forgivable than just fighting them, which is low life activity; electrocuting them is on a level with child molesting. How can you show your face in public? 1.2 million dollars I guess.

on the other hand, we kill cows, pigs and chickens with killing devices. are the people who live in the slaughterhouses cruel to animals?

We gas surplus dogs/cats at places like SPCA. Your dog has cancer and you live on a farm? Shoot it.

Newborn kittens and no one wants them? Flush them down the toilet.

We kill insects of all sorts without remorse. We drown worms trying to catch fish.

We kill mice and rats in traps. We abort human babies.

So, I am having somewhat of a problem with demonizing Vick, when we do the same thing. Torure? That is bad. Killing? We seem to be labelling Vick with what we do ourselves.
 
To some extent i agree with you, my dad is an old school farm boy, so it never made sense to him when people whose dogs bit people had to take them to the spca, it was real simple in his eyes dog fucks up it gets a bullet in the head, animals are animals, it didnt matter what, they were expendable. That being said we hit a deer on the highway on the way to the lake one time and it was flipping out on the road and he made sure to go back in his tackle box find his filleting knife and end the suffering. I wouldnt be able to do it but i was never raised in that environment. It is a different society we live in these days though.

That being said omega is right to some extent you have to be pretty depraved to drown or electrocute a dog to death, even though old school farmboys wont hesitate to kill an animal they wont torture it, there is a HUGE difference there. Any way they choose to end an animals life it is quick. I dont know about your comment of flushing a kitten down the toilet, i have never heard of that....
