SouthAmerica: Here is some information about Islam.
It is estimated that today âIslamâ has about 21 percent market share of the global religion market.
It is estimated that there are between 1 million to 1.2 million people around the world who follows the Islam religion.
There are two major sects of Islam â The Sunnis (80 percent) â The Shiites (18 percent) â And other (2 percent.)

SouthAmerica: I have a good friend who is a marketing teacher at a local college here in New Jersey. He is a very interesting fellow and we spend hours talking about religion and philosophy.
I learned a lot from him regarding Hinduism, Buddhism, the other religions of India, and Persia, and also about the history of India.
He was born in India and his family follows the Hinduism religion. He did work for many years as a marketing executive for a multinational and he had the chance of traveling all over Africa, and the Middle East on behalf of his company.
He told me that based on his many years of actual experience traveling all over Africa and the Middle East he observed and was able to grasp a major difference between Sunnis and Shiites. He told me that usually the Sunnis are the better-educated group on most countries, they were more accommodating, more tolerant, more flexible, and they made the bulk of the business class who were interested in trading with other people and so onâ¦
The Shiites usually were the less educated class, the poorer people on these countries, and they were less tolerant, and a lot more radical regarding religion and so onâ¦
If we look at the Middle East and analyze country-by-country maybe my friendâs perceptions and observations are correct â the only person and group that does not fit his generalization is Osama Bin Ladden and Al Qaeda - but still he is a Sunni, he is wealthy, and he is very well educated.
