Mexican Tariffs

At the southern border, the Mexican border agents are taking the position that "if you're just here to pass through Mexico on your way to the US, then you're okay" which is just bullshit.

Mexico has it's own constitution. Feel free to read it. Here's some info on their immigration laws.

They don't let every Joe, Schmuk, or Harry come on in and give 'em free shit.

As for the Chipotle bullshit, if you're going to starve because you can't pay the extra nickel for your lunch then YOU SHOULD HAVE TAKEN HOME ECONOMICS IN SCHOOL AND FED YOUR DAMN SELF FOR LESS.

Stop facilitating caravan invasions would be a start. Crack down on smugglers. Stop acting like a hostile country. We put crippling sanctions on Russia to validate a bogus theory that they somehow interfered in our election, but we look the other way when Mexico overtly interferes.

Mexico will also have to accept being designated as the first safe country for Latin American asylum claimants. They have already ruled that out because they know the asylum claims are all bogus.

I actually hope they refuse to cooperate and Trump ends up having to shut the border. Mexico is a narco cartel-controlled failed state for practical purposes, and the sooner we accept that, the better.

I'm not supporting what we did on Russia either. That was bullshit, too.

Mexico isn't acting like a hostile country. They're acting like a third world country. They can't even elect politicians who aren't corrupt. Can't field an army that doesn't work for cartels. Can't get policemen who enforce the rule of law. Why do you expect they can suddenly change because you put a financial tariff on them?

Shutting the border hurts us more than them. The solution is a wall. Punishing US companies and employees for immigration coming in across the southern border is asinine.

Knock what shit off? What do you expect Mexico to do?
What shit is Mexico doing?
Here's a rundown of what we're looking for out of Mexico. It looks like the primary thing we want is for them to enforce their own laws. I think there's a decent chance that the tariffs never go into effect. It might've taken the threat to get them to the table though.

The White House advisor outlined three specific areas where Mexico could make changes to stop Trump from slapping tariffs on its goods:
  • Mexico should crack down on asylum seekers, Navarro said.
  • Mexico should strengthen its enforcement of its own southern border with Guatemala, he added.
  • And Mexico should put an end to government corruption at immigration checkpoints in the country.
The “No. 1” issue on Navarro’s list would be for Mexico to “commit to taking all the asylum seekers and then applying Mexican laws, which are much stronger than ours.”

Who cares if their laws are stronger? They have never enforced them.

We are fools if we're going to rely on Mexico to enforce laws because we decided to light their house on fire (while lighting our own on fire next door). Its the fucking third world. If your neighbor is sending his dogs over to shit in your yard, do you say "that's it, I'm not inviting you to my parties anymore" or do you put up a fence?

The obvious answer is you put up a fence. But what do you do if you live in a neighborhood where your HOA hates you, and they won't allow you to put up a fence capable of keeping the dog out?

Trump is not a smart person and if you think putting tariffs on Mexican goods is a good idea then neither are you.

What Trump is doing will only result in even more migrants! He is dumb and thinks people will bend when you cause them pain but ask yourself, how is that working out with the Russians?

Trump has completely mismanaged the border to the point the courts are basically stalled and the word is out that CBP has been broken under Trump.

Notice the record numbers below, the red line is Trump. He is a complete failure at the border and if you continue to support him because immigration and illegal aliens is an important issue to you then you are a moron who puts rhetoric before results and I got a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell you.

I will add that under Trump the Department of Homeland Security has been decimated. Almost all of its leadership is transitory.

The border is a complete shit show under Trump. End of story.
