Yes, I read that somewhere as well. I had even come across that information while I was still exceeding well over an hour during my twice weekly workouts. (Don't even ask about my split routine during the '90s and early 2000s!) It has taken some time to sink in, given that I was brought up reading how the big BB guys' workouts encompassed all kinds of volume. Of course I knew that they were juicing it up and that doing so aids recovery and so on, but even so I just held on to this irrational belief that more was better. The hour maximum rule you mentioned seemed arbitrary when I first came across it, but I have come to believe that it's probably a very good benchmark.Quote from chaykapwr:
