If there was a high crime or misdemeanor in the impeachment articles there would have been a doubt as to the outcome.. but there wasn't.

If your argument is that the intention of the constitution is related to statutory crimes the it would not be a problem for you to provide a list of some high crimes and misdemeanors when the constitution was written. It would help us to understand your point.
I’ll even help you out with two, piracy and counterfeiting were federal crimes when the constitution was written. All you have to do is show us the laws your referencing when you say high crimes and misdemeanors.
Unless you think the only things a president can be impeached for is piracy and counterfeiting then just say that.
The dems did drop the ball by not actually attaching criminal conduct (emoluments, obstruction, election violations, etc..) and giving these clowns another "out".

1. Its not a crime to refuse to cooperate with Congress.
We have 3 branches of govt and they have to work it out.
Anybody who learned anything in high school should know that.
2. It is not a crime to ask for something in exchange for a meeting.
It is probably not a crime to ask a country for an investigation into corruption before you release millions of dollars of free money. Regardless of what his motives were.
Had they the evidence to establish the elements of a crime... I am sure they would have alleged crimes.
